Description

44 Cal 245 gr SWC Keith Type Lead Hard Cast Bullets for Reloading.

This bullet is a true Hensley & Gibbs 503 original Elmer Keith design. Many of our customers that have bought this bullet reported to us that this bullet is the most accurate cast bullet they have ever tried in their 44 caliber handgun. They simply love them.

Let’s talk about the real soul of this round. When you pick up Stateline’s .44 caliber 245-grainer, you’re shooting the legendary H&G 503 design. To those of us who’ve been at the press for decades, Hensley & Gibbs is the gold standard. This bullet features those classic, heavy driving bands and a deep, square grease groove packed with premium semi soft red lube. It’s a design that’s won more championships and filled more freezers than just about any other. It’s got the weight for authority and the geometry for match-grade accuracy. If you’re serious about your .44 loads, you don’t just want a semi-wadcutter you want a 503 in your brass. Try a package and see for yourself. This is not loaded 44 mag ammo.

I have been doing some research and shooting trying to find one load that will perform out of my .44 mag. Encore pistol w/ a 12 inch barrel and 2X scope. After numerous tries w/ jacketed, SWC, and hardcast bullets from Stateline, I have settled on a Stateline 245 gr. Keith style hardcast bullet over a CCI 300/Rem 2 1/2 primer charged w/ 21.0 grs. of IMR-4227 powder. It will cut holes at 25 yds. and shoot well under 2 inches at 50 yds. which is plenty good for the areas I hunt. No evidence of leading either. I will be converting my .357 & .41 mags to Stateline bullets as well.

Obtained load data from Lyman’s 49th handloading guide using 2400 powder. Excellent accuracy with minimal leading in my S&W 29-2 8 3/8” barrel. Will absolutely purchase again!

  4. Michael A (verified owner)

I have been looking high and low can’t find anything like your 44 cal 245 SWC. Hope your casting as we speak because l am out. Waiting to hear from you, love your cast boolits. Thanks very much.

  5. Jerry (verified owner)

Love these hard cast bullets in my TC Contender and Ruger Redhawk…arrived in perfect condition, are very hard and the lube is still in the lube groove! Haven’t hunted with them yet but I can see no reason why they won’t work just fine up here in Alaska for caribou, black bear and (only if necessary) brown bears. Now just waiting for them to get 357 hard cast back in stock…

  6. Mike (verified owner)

Jim, tried a few of your .430 dia. bullets in my ruger black hawk ,44 special yesterday, they did everything your advertisement said they would do. At twenty yards I shot a 1.5 ” group with 7.5 grs. of Unique powder, Starline cases CCI 300 primers. Experienced a little lead scuffing in the barrel, probably due to barrel is not broken in yet. Your .431 dia. bullets shot basically 1 hole at same range and powder charge. I will highly recommend your product to any one who inquires about your company, service was extremely fast, received my bullets in two days, and the phone call to you ,you took time to address my question about your product. I am a Vietnam veteran and have been a reloader for approximately 55 years and have never had dealings with people in this shooting sport of your caliber, in other words, Jim, what ever you tell some one they can take to the bank.
    Keep up the good work.

Just received my shipment. I have not fired any yet. Shipping was very quick. They were packaged well and appear to be very consistent. The lube was well done and all in the grooves. They seem to be very hard and I am well pleased. Will order again. Thank you!

Excellent product and a very fair price . Great communication , a real nice company . Roly B

  9. David D. (verified owner)

Great cast 44 Keith boolits. They’re the only game in town besides MBW sizing 44 cal boolits to .431, which is what I need without serious leading, and these Stateline boolits are literally half the price as MBT and equal quality. Add old world customer service and you have a winner by every metric.

  10. Trent W R (verified owner)

My go to bullets for 44 magnum, top quality, and Stateline gets them shipped fast, glad I found this gem of a business, thanks Stateline for top quality, and low prices.

My 44 magnum revolvers and I love the 245 gr Keith bullets from Stateline whether I am loading full magnum or Skeeter 44 special loads I am never disappointed in their performance or concerned about serious leading. Stateline’s bullet quality and their customer support is second to none.
Team Stateline Bullets keep up your great work it is very much appreciated by your customers.

I recently lost my long time supplier of 44 Keith bullets and was concerned about finding a solid and reasonably priced replacement. Well it looks like I have. Thank you Stateline for not only having this tried and true bullet design available, but for have it in stock as well. Customer for life!

  14. Harry D (verified owner)

The 245 grain .44 cal. Keith bullet is my favorite for the Special and the Magnum hands down and this one from Stateline is top notch. I don’t much care for a bevel base or a hollow point so this bullet fills the bill for me. And to have one with the high quality like this is icing on the cake.

  15. John D. (verified owner)

These 245 gr. Stateline .44 cal. bullets are the best commercially cast bullets I have used. Weights are very uniform and their H & G 503 bullet is amazingly accurate in both special and magnum loads. I also have purchased .38/.357 158 gr bullets and .45 Colt 255 gr. bullets but I haven’t started on loading them because of the number of accurate .44 loads I’ve been making! Thank you, Stateline!

.44 cal. 245gr. Keith Style bullets. Excellent quality and the correct diameter for my Ruger Redhawk. I had inconsistent results with Jacketed bullets. Apparently the diameter was too small for the guns cylinder. I checked one of these bullets and the diameter is perfect.(thanks for great advice) Gun shoots better than I can. Thank you Stateline for a quality product and great service. I just order some .45 cal for my Ruger Blackhawk.

  17. Don W

Exactly what I ordered for my .44 cal. Model 29. That Keith 245 is great. Now just send me some warm weather so I can do some shooting. You should be getting some new customer’s. Great price and service. Enjoyed our conversation and will definitely be ordering bullets for my .357. Thanks again

  18. Elmer K (verified owner)

Great bullets very accurate in my tc encore rifle. Thank you.

  19. John G (verified owner)

Great looking bullets and fast shipping. Paid the bill and the mailman knocked on the door. Not my first order and definitely not my last.

  20. Don W

Can’t say enough about your product and service. This is my third order. That has to tell you, your product and service are right on. Thanks for the help.

  21. Bill S. (verified owner)

Nice looking well formed bullets, and very prompt shipping. The packaging for shipping was very impressive. Considering the way the USPS will drop and throw around such a heavy package, not one bullet was deformed from package impact crush damage due to the well done creative packaging.

  22. David M (verified owner)

Excellent company to deal with. Outstanding product, fair prices, fast shipping, and very well packaged! I’m looking forward to dealing with them again very soon!

  23. Bill B (verified owner)

I see nobody here is dissatisfied with these and there is good reason for that, great bullets and great service. I use these in both my m29’ss and my m696, so both magnum and Special loads and they do great in both roles. Great lube too. Quite accurate over xx.x gr of Ramshot TrueBlue in mag brass and either x gr of Herco or PowerPistol in Special cases and you have the recipe for a fun day at the range. I just received 500 more and should have bought 1K and saved on shipping. Price is about as good as I’ve found, so what’s not to like here?

I am 69 years old and have been reloading for about 50 years. VERY happy to have discovered Stateline Bullets. Most of my local retail stores carry jacketed or coated bullets, not so much of the cast style in any shape. Nothing wrong with jacketed or coated, I just prefer cast. Keith style .44 with a midrange load of 1100fps with Longshot powder and I am good to go. Superfast shipping. Superb packaging. Sweet personalized thank you note was an unexpected treat. If you are a first-time shopper at Stateline Bullets and are not sure about them. Don’t worry. Order some bullets. Give them a try. You will not regret it. It looks like today is going to be a cloudy rainy VERY windy day in Boise, perfect loading weather.
    Thanks again+++

  25. Mike (verified owner)

Great looking Keith style bullets, awesome service and packaging.

  26. Todd J (verified owner)

This is my first experience with Stateline and it has been great. These shipped quickly and upon arrival looked very nice. I don’t need to shoot any more to tell you they are very accurate in my SRH. The first 3 looked like a cloverleaf at .43″ and two more opened all the way up to 1.2″. I can’t imagine how good they will be with a little load development and a benchrest.
    Very impressed.

  27. Rory W (verified owner)

Received Elmer Keith 245gr 44 magnum bullets, very well packaged with a hand written note thanking me for my purchase. Where do you get that kind of service anymore, at StateLine Bullets that’s where. Nice folks to do business with, bullets tested out pretty hard but that’s okay. Will be trying them this weekend.

Very nice casting of a classic. Better than most anything I’ve seen. Fast shipping and well packaged.

  31. Jon L (verified owner)

I ordered on Thursday afternoon and they came on Saturday morning. Talk about fast response! I am thrilled and the quality is evident. Nicest 44 Keith bullets I have ever purchased. You will receive all my business.

  32. Les B (verified owner)

Jim helped me determine what size of the 245 grain .44 Keith style bullet my guns took. He made a batch of 50 in .430 and 50 in .431 diameter for me. My Ruger Black Hawk and Winchester 1894 AE chambered both bullet diameters with no issue. My Ruger was made in the 1980s and the Winchester in the 1990s. Great hard cast bullets and GREAT customer service! Thanks to Jim and his crew.

  33. Bob M (verified owner)

Great bullets and fast shipping. Second time I have ordered from them. Lets me try different bullets and weights before I ever think about buying a mold. Thanks, Bob

.44cal 245 gr SWC. Do not be deterred by the sold out next to your choice. These people will notify you when they are available. I have made several purchases from them and the orders are filled quickly. The quality is exceptional. The prices are excellent. I’m certainly not a high volume customer but their personal notes that come with the bullets, gives you a nice feeling. No disappointments.

These bullets rock! They provide great accuracy in my carbine & revolver. They are priced fairly and the family business is awesome to deal with. I really like doing business with businesses that appreciate my business like this group does!

  36. Peter B (verified owner)

Absolutely perfect bullets every time from you guys ! I got lucky and bought before they went out of stock (too quickly). Can’t wait to see how my Ruger .44 special likes these on top of x.xgr Unique. Thanks for another great bullet folks !

  37. Brian F (verified owner)

Good bullets. Packaged well and fast shipping.

  38. Carl M (verified owner)

Stateline, your bullet heads have brought back memories of my casting days in another time and place. I’ve tried other casters and their quality is good, but, the quality of your product is top shelf. I’m not shooting as much as I have in the past but Stateline you will be my go-to casting outfit. Thank you, Carl M.

  39. Mark F

I ordered 500 of the 245 gr Keith SWC bullets. I used to cast my own and these are near clones. Accuracy is great with reduced loads and no leading in my barrel. I appreciate the hand written note with the order. Just wanted to say thanks for a great product.

  40. Paul P. (verified owner)

I got the 255 gr SWC 45’s last week, the 245 gr SWC 44’s came today. I used your bullets a while ago and had very good results. Thank you for a great product and thanks for the note that came with the bullets. Safe and Healthy to you also.

  41. Rex R. (verified owner)

Your 44 cal, 245 LSWC-Keith bullet is incredible! I’ve read a great deal of Elmer Keith’s writings and he nailed the design. Glad you found the same molds he used. No other bullet company uses this mold. I load it with Unique and get 1250 fps from a 6″ barrel 629-4 and 1180 fps from a 4″ barrel 629-6. Other powders can get over 1400 fps. I work with heavy equipment and get lots of worn out cutting edges. I cut them up and make many different sizes of steel targets for our local range. Your bullets ring a lot targets for me. I also like the hand written note.

  42. John (verified owner)

I have just received another order of Stateline’s fantastic 245 gr. SWC on the H & G #503 pattern. These are superb bullets with consistent weight and great accuracy. This is my hunting load and drops feral hogs like lightning. Thank you Stateline, for your long term consistency. I never use any other bullet.

  43. Ronald R (verified owner)

Great Company and wonderful people, I love the notes on my order sheet! These bullets shoot outstanding, I use Elmer Keith’s pet load with UNIQUE powder. I will always order bullets from Stateline, excellent service! Excellent Product!

  44. Brian R. (verified owner)

Very nice people who make a great product. I have been loading their 245 grain SWC bullets in my 6” N Frame 44 Special at around 1050 FPS, and in my mild magnum loads that I shoot out my various 44 Magnum revolvers at around the same velocity. Both loads are very accurate. I have also shot some really good groups pushing the same bullet over 1400 FPS in full powered configuration out of both 4 and 6” Anacondas. So far, these bullets have fed reasonably well in my Ruger made Marlin 1894. Occasionally I’ll have a little bit of a hang up when running the lever, but that’s to be expected with a SWC profile in a lever action. This will likely be the bullet that sees the most use in all of my 44’s.

  45. Travis S

Great 245gr cast 44 Keith boolits! They’re sizing 44 cal boolits to .431, which works great in my 629-3 and these Stateline boolits are very accurate running them full house magnum and 800 to 1000 fps 44 specials. Bought 158gr LSWC 38/357 haven’t tried them yet, great looking bullets. A real keith style boolet is hard to find, will definitely buy again! Thanks Stateline!

  46. James W (verified owner)

These are a beautiful cast bullet made on Elmer’s Keith’s original design. It’s hard to find original Keith bullets and these do not disappoint. Buy with confidence!

  47. Tim (verified owner)

245 grain Keith 44 cal SWC, the classic. I was a bit apprehensive when I read that the bases were “slightly” beveled on these bullets. Not to worry though. The bevel is almost imperceptible. (I am not a fan of beveled base lead bullets. I don’t care if they are somewhat easier to seat.). Anyway these bullets are stellar quality. Beautifully cast! I am hoping to work up a killer load for 100 yard metallic silhouette matches at the club this summer. These bullets certainly look like they’ll do their part.
