The 200-Grain Advantage
Traditionally, a lot of guys gravitate straight toward the heavy 240-grain or 250-grain Keith-style semi-wadcutters for the .44. But dropping down to this 200-grain weight is a game changer for high-volume shooters. First, it’s incredibly economical; less lead per bullet keeps the cost down. Second, it drastically tames the recoil. You can load these over a faster burning powder and get a phenomenally accurate, soft-shooting round that gets you back on target fast. Your wrists and your brass will thank you after a 500-round weekend.
Flawless Feeding and Function
The Round Nose Flat Point profile is one of the most versatile designs ever poured from a mold. If you run a lever-action rifle the RNFP is non-negotiable. The smooth rounded ogive ensures it feeds out of the tube and up the lifter like butter. The flat meplat makes it 100% safe to stack end-to-end in a tubular magazine. Out of a revolver, that same flat nose punches a clean, easily scored hole in paper targets. It also transfers excellent energy on steel plates.
What sets us apart for the cast only guys is our design and consistency. This bullet design was created by Stateline and can’t be found anywhere else. When you open a package of these 200-grainers, you’re looking at sharply defined Keith type squared lube groove, a flat base, and Keith type wide diving bands. This includes the bottom base band. They seat beautifully, crimp securely right in the crimp groove, and seal the bore to give you uniform pressures and outstanding accuracy. Our lube formulation stays put during shipping and seating, keeping your seating die clean and your barrel shining after a long range session.

I shoot these out of an Uberti 1873 Sport Rifle in .44-40. They weight about 202 grs as cast. They are fantastically accurate over 8 grains of Unique, at 1274 fps. I’ve had no leading issues ever. Every bullet is beautifully cast and have a nice red bullet lube. They arrive in plastic bags and are very well packed to protect in shipment. I’d order more right now, but they’ve been out of stock for some time. Regardless, these are perfect for anyone wanting to reload .44-40 for the modern clones.

I have been reloading 44 magnum since 1977. These 200 gr RNFP are a great bullet I usually load light magnum loads because I am mainly target shooting for fun. I load these 200 gr bullets to 1,050 fps out of a revolver and 1,200 fps out of my lever action rifle. I have been getting nice groups and they feed great in my lever action rifles.
