Description

45-70 330 gr RNFP Hollow Point Hard Cast Bullets for Reloading.
This Hollow Point cast bullet is the famous 45-330 Gould Express bullet designed by John Barlow, founder of Ideal. Superior performance in all 45 cal cartridges. The lube utilized on these bullets is a tad softer and a bit tacky. Due to the bullets inordinate amount of bore contact, our softer bullet lube will perform superior over our normal bullet lube. 45-70 Cast Bullets.

The April 2017 edition (pg 44) of Handloader published “Deer Bullets for the .45-70 Loading the Lyman Gould’s 45-300 Express Bullet”. We recommend reading this article.

I purchased these bullets after reading about them in Reloaded magazine. After some work on my reloading bench, and the shooting range, I came up with a great load. Can’t wait to try them this deer season. I’m using 48 grs. of IMR 3031, Winchester case (trimmed to 2.095) Federal 210 primer, with a COL of 2.550. Shot a 1/2″ 3 shot group @ 100 yards from my Marlin 1895.
